Everyone, I urge you to shop your local stores first before buying your Shopkins online. Do your research on prices for these toys, the avg. price for a 20 pack is $19.43(tax include) in my local stores. That's a rate of 97 cents a Shopkin (view image). Some seasons are harder to find than others, but if so, that's when shopping online should come in to buy these toys. This same season and pack are 10.79 (tax include) at my local stores (California) as well.

These toys are great, but some cost are based on the season and pack if your wondering why some cost more than others. Keep track of ones you buy to avoid buying same packs for your kids/yourself. And highly recommend buying a box of some sort to store these toys because they will get lost. I would start here:

This toy. Eh. My 5 year old had fun putting the little figures into the bags and then putting them on top of pencils for about 10 minutes before moving on to something more interesting and interactive. The figures themselves look cheap and poorly crafted, for example, the colors "go outside the lines" and there are airholes in the plastics. I looked at them and wondered if I got knockoffs by accident or if the product is always poor. They end up being pretty expensive for the little pieces of plasticy junk that they are. Also...I didn't delve too deep into the world of Shopkins, but the message seems to be shop for the sake of shopping with the tagline "once you shop you can't stop"? I don't know about you, but that's not what I want to teach my kid. With all the great toys out there, keep moving past this one.

So if you have a daughter like mine, then you do have an idea how crazy kids can be over these Shopkins toys. There's really nothing to them but my daughter would argue with that statement for days. I gave this a 5 star because the product is exactly what they said it would be and the price was unbeatable. In fact, I looked around the entire day for a better price and I couldn't find one ANYWHERE. I bought 2 of these and crossed my fingers they wouldn't be the same characters and they were not...which is another huge plus...and worth the 5 star rating. They are wrapped up now and waiting to be opened on Christmas Day. Thanks Amazon Santa.

I had read the reviews on the product and saw where a few people mentioned that the shopkins are not 'legit' and basically the packaging had been opened and taped back shut. The price is great so I thought I would go ahead and give them a try.

I will say the order went well and the shipping came before expected. I placed two separate orders in hope that we wouldn't get identical sets. I checked each package and saw that they were different and briefly checked the packaging. It looked good to me.

After my daughter tore into them I looked at the the packaging again and saw that there was indeed an area that had been taped with a packing tape and you could see a slight tear in the paper. I'm not a shopkins expert and neither is my daughter, but if we were, I imagine we would find they are not legit, real, shopkins.

However, my daughter was so happy and gave me a huge hug and said she was excited because she got some shopkins she was really hoping for.

I would purchase this again, but if you are an avid collector and care about the authenticity of the shopkins, then I would not buy them nor recommend the purchase.

I got these for my daughter for Christmas. She has been asking for shopkins. I do not understand the craze behind them but she loves them. She has a small collection started of about 20 now. It says that the assortment you receive may not be what is pictured. Do not buy these if you want strictly as pictured or you will be disappointed. There was only one repeat in the 10 shown. We will see when she opens the hidden ones at Christmas if she received any other copies. These were a great value and I'd buy them again.

I do not like these I'm sure my daughter liked them she was 3 1/2 when she first got them. But these pieces only lasted her one day. After a week all of them were gone and a mess. if Your a working mom and have more then one child and have no cleaning lady or husband work schedule not the same as yours its pretty hard to keep these little shopkins organized in a bin. I lured her away from these products and grew her interest on other toys.
